From The Pastor's Desk - Beginnings and Endings - Recently, I heard a speaker contrast the “end of the beginning” with the “beginning of the end.” It occurred to me upon hearing the explanation that perception and perspective are intimately related and intertwined. Contrast the observation that “the glass is either half empty or half full.” In both cases, the quantity of the liquid in the glass is the same but the difference is perception and consequently perspective. The old axiom that “beauty is in the eye of the beholder” is part and parcel of this principle and pattern...Click on the link to read the entire message from Pastor Stubblefield.

From The Pastor's Desk - A Prayer For Unity
It is reported that at the funeral services for Dr. King in Atlanta, FBI agents, with their expected resourcefulness were chatting on their radios, “find out what the dream is!” A very important part of Dr. King’s dream was the unity of community. He once said, “We are bound in an inescapable network of mutuality; tied in a garment of destiny.” He said as well, “injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.”....Click on the link to read the entire message from Pastor Stubblefield.

From The Pastor's Desk - The Love That Is Here To Stay
Henry Ward Beecher, the famous 19th – century American preacher once said, “Every artist dips his brush in his own soul, and paints his own nature into his pictures.” Every single creation whether a work of art, a music score, a chapter of literature or even the children that God blesses us with mirror who we are. During this season of the year the colors of fall are breathtaking. As I view this panoramic portrait, my faith tells me that God, the Supreme Artist, has taken his paint brush, dipped it into the creative and compelling palette of his incomparable essence and splattered the landscapes with colorful hues that hint to all who truly observe and wonder that “God stands within the shadows keeping watch over His own.”... From The Pastor's Desk - In the Shadow of the Cross
The Apostle Paul begins his epic and magnificent letter to the Romans with a salutation that was designed to establish his apostolic credentials and credibility. See Romans 1:1-6. Paul identified himself as a servant, called to be an apostle and separated unto the gospel of God. The term "servant” translates the word in the New Testament for bond slave. Such a person was absolutely committed to his or her master during their lifetime. The word called expresses the apostle’s understanding that he was selected to his sacred office because of the sovereign activity of God and not for any merit of his own. “Separated” translates a word that means literally off the horizon. Paul was moved from one sphere of service (a servant to sin) to another sphere or horizon (a servant of God.).....Click on the image to read the entire message from Pastor Stubblefield
